Stock v stock. S4 will just walk right away any speeds. specially the hgiher up you go.
Small bolt on WRX vs small bolt on S4 basically just chip. the S4 will Turd alll over it. a 2.0l wrx (non sti) needs alot of work to keep up with a chip S4, nvm (exhaust,dps,ic's, and such)

Just a few that sell chips, im not sure what daness373 is talking about but they are the usual chips that will give you decent hp gains for the price, for example giac claims 50-90 hp and 80-90 ft-lbs gains but the chip is around the 500$ range, while apr's chip cliams 307 hp and 366 lb-ft on 91 octane for 599.99, that is just a few that i know of off the top of my head, there is more, depending on what you have planed later on down the road with the car or whatever you have money for.
One thing to remember with a chip is that it is important to check/replace some of the following.

Edmunds has a time of 6.3 0-60 for an '02 WRX, but Edmunds usually get's pretty high times that are quite a bit off the pace of traditional magazines like R&T, C&D and Motor Trend. Not that some of these magazines are the epitome of 0-60 testing, but Edmunds is usually very conservative.
Stock S4 vs. Stock WRX, the WRX is marginally slower than a 6-speed S4, but it wouldn't be some sort of joke race.

yay i have a urs4...mine looks almost exacly like that except the wheels....i dont have s4 wheels.....but i do have the s6 smoothed bumpers...and my car is a bit lower lol...and i was able to snag all the rs2 parts
