a supra will definetely holds its value better. Stock supras 93-95 with 50 K miles go for mid 20's. 97-99 supras go for upper to mid 30's for low mileage stock ones. Highly moded supras can get around 30K. I don't see the price falling much since they are getting rarer.

oh by the way that FMIC that u posted in this thread.... i believer wont work with a S4 it doesnt have the dual sides for the piping. look like a A4 FMIC and just states the S4 and RS4 bumpers incase you put that bumper on your A4.... but i could be mistaken [8D]

Hello all,

This being my first post here and a recent buyer of a 2001 s4! I can say I love it! I haven't owend a supra but I had a 94 rx7, very fast, But as everyone above has pointed out this car is different. They have more experience with this car then do I, but I can tell you it is a great car. So much fun to drive... Thats all I have so far... Going for a chip next week and more maybe?

im usually not that fond of red, but that is a hot looking car. the laser is pretty hard to come yet alone with a sport package.

As I said I'm pretty picky. I don't want red.

Nogaro blue pref. Maybe the white. That guy d.wig on audizine has not responded to my PM. Maybe he doesn't want to sell the car??

im in the somewhat same delima. i have had my v6 camaro for 5 years, since i was 15. i am in my junior year of college (FSU). i want a S4, or a camaro SS. would rather have a cts-v but cant afford it, and a c5 vette isnt a "college car". i have been researching the hell out of the S4's for a few months now. i went to test drive one and they said i couldnt without a credit application. i said i would be paying cash. they wouldnt let me drive it. ********. but i wasnt buying it anyways, since it wasnt in that good a shape and it wasnt a 2001.5 or 2002, those are the good years from what i understand since they had some differences.

but, the piont is from my researching exsperience i have concluded i cannot afford the turbos to go. it costs right a 6 grand to replace with factory ones. a stage 3 upgrade will cost half of the price of the car. also, i have heard timing belts sometimes go too, the throttle body boot is nothing, apr makes a bi-pipe that fixes that for 350 bucks. there is an online guide to S4's problems and the guy who worte it also give resolutions to the problems. it is very informative. dont remember what site it was but maybe another person can chime in an link it for you. i feel like im yapping too much, but good luck with the search. let us, or me know how it goes b/c we are kinda in the same boat.
