Default Taking out middle resonator for better sound

Has anyone know what taking out the mid resonator would do to my year 2000 S4? I've done it with my MK3 VR6 and it made it sound nice, I thought maybe give it a try and see what it does and could be like a temporary solution until I can save up for turboback? Anyobody done it before?

Do you mean the pre-cat? if so, this is basically what piggie pipes are. if you do decide to do this, move the 02 sensor behind the remaining cats.
