totally agree. s4 and m3 evo and sti camero and mustang..... never mix em up, like comparing vettes to civics!

 

so what gear do evos lag the most in??

 

Its not so much gear as in where in the powerband they are. But he is exactly right.. If you get them without being spooled ina soft point in the powerband they lag bad. I remember a Topgear vid of the evo fq400 that was a dominate car, but if you started in like 6th gear from 20-100 it lost to a yugo or something crazy that had sub 100 hp.

 

I saw that episode. it was a cheap rental. in fifth gear at 30 mph. they both floored it, took the evo like a mile to even spool up.
