Default Thinking about a 2004-2005 S4

whats up guys? im currently a 19 year old college student and im thinking about buying a 04-05 S4 but i have a few questions

i have driven 2 2001 and 2002 S4, one auto and one 6spd and i loved the little car, i just didnt feel it was quick enough for me, so i bought a 2003 Mustang Mach 1 and have driven it for the past year, i had a Ford Lightning before the mustang

im looking for something confortable, fast, and sporty with good looks and a auto tranny. is the S4 my car?

what are the differences in the 2004 and 2005 models? hows the gas mileage? thanks in advance!

im also considering a 745i, C32 AMG, 02-04 Z06 *doesnt have a auto though*, new C6 with auto, or a M3 SMG

these S4's tend to be rather rare in the Houston area though, and most are 6spds

they easy to get power out of?

Default The V8 S4 are a German muscle car.

The sound and torque are awesome. Fit and finish is the best. Think of it as a refined German muscle/sports car. If raw speed is what your are after, get a "Plastic Fantastic" Vette.

Agreed your mustang and an S4 have absoltely nothing in common. And comparred to a mustang ur going to have to pay far out the a$$ to mod an S4. If u want raw speed go with a WRX or something of that nature

If you're 19 and looking at these cars, I don't even want to talk to you. I think I had a '67 VW bug when I was 19. Okay, well maybe I'll talk to you anyway. I just got an 05.5 S4 with a V8 and love it. About $50K, but money does not appear to be an issue.

05.5 s4?? that doesn't even make sense buddy.....

but the s4 is a great car to own. it's a lot more fun with a manual though. why do you want an auto?? and if you didn't think the b5 model was fast enough. get a ride in a stage 3. and then come back here and tell us how wrong you were.

honestly... i struggled with the debate between athe b6 platform and the b5 wheni was looking for my car. i personally thought that stock they both felt about the same. yes the b6 is quicker stock but i believe their torque is about the same so FEELING wise theyre similar. but the b6/7 interior is much nicer. But like hano side.. try a ride in a stage 3 and its a whole new world. Im glad i made my choice and havent looked back. but its up to you between performance if you want to do mods.. or more quality interior and asthetics.. youll love either.
