im in the works for 2 cars lol ....yea i act fast then change my mind when its time to seal the deal

what would you pick?

2000 imola yellow 50k stick $16500...hopefully more negotiable since PP (4hr drive...aka 1 look and purch same day/leave empty handed)
2001 red 75k stick $15999 (50 minute drive)

2000 didnt do TB yet, 2001 is off a dealer lot who someone traded in the car for a m3, so hes noot sure about TB, assuming it wasnt done.

Those are some tough choices.... I dont know what i would go with. I would go check out the two that are close to you and if you arent totally satisfied then take the trip to the other one and check it out.

I looked at a few 1999 - 2000 M3's in the same price range as my S4, but the M3's of the same year had more miles, the leather was in not to good shape, and the car had the typical dings and dents of a 7-8 year old car. Then I found this S4 that I have, the only thing I have found wrong with it is both right wheels have some curb rash, which can be fixed. There are no dents, scratches, nothing. It is near perfect, the only other thing wrong is the after market light tint on the rear windows is starting to peel, but I want to go a bit darker anyway and all around, so I am going to get it taken off and redone sometime soon. I got a quote for all windows 15% plus a 5% 6 inch band across the top windshield and 5% sunroof. for like $250. Lifetime warranty. I am just going to do things like chip, DV's, and turbo back exhaust and probably call it good for performance mods, maybe some sway bars, springs, bigger brakes... maybe. But yeah, the B5 S4's don't really need much appearance modding, they look good.

Yeah I think b5's have a lot of looks already dont really need anything else unless you want to put an rs4 bumper on. I am looking into the tint to, my price was pretty close, a little less, then what you were looking at.

theres a local a4 with a rs4 bumber and the 04 s4 style wheels, its sicccccck.... but slow haha and auto

assuming 2 cars are 95% perfect bodywise (i know there 6-8 years old u gotta expect stuff)

whats better, lower miles or newer year
say 2000 with 50k vs 2001 with 95k which sould be about the same price

or even an 00 with 50k and a 02 with 100k

I personally don't like the RS4 bumper, but that's just me. The only things I am going to do do mine are tint the windows more, MAYBE put some new rims on, if not powdercoat the stock ones black after the curb rash is repaired. And lower it just a bit. Other than that, there is nothing really that I have found that I want to do to it. Interior, I want to change the trim, but again, other than that, I will add a sub and amp, but the speakers are great, the just some perf. mods and I am done.

it's a great car to have. take it from us. most of us here are s4 owners, with the exception of mott power..... he's just an avid enthusiast without a car (but he still knows his stuff). parts for upgrading are still pricey. but that's the way it is with european imports. but the performance you get with a stage 3 b5 s4 is unlike anything else. the audi quattro system helps a lot with performance.

..... i love audis

LIES! I am the proud owner of a 1993 Honda Accord LX with 180,000 miles! And 50 bucks says it's 10x more reliable than your S4 and technically, I have a 60% of winning against your S4 any day... considering it's usually on jacks 60% of the time.

new update:

2002 90k, silver had TB and 61k, new TBB and DVs within the last year. $15,500
2001 74k, red, from dealership so not sure about TB. asking $16,000 i think i can talk to 15k.

gave up on the yellow 2000 with 47k the guy wont budge off 17k... and idk if i really like yellow, i like the one off the b6 more.
