Timing Belt, Water Pump Replacment Time
Hey, I know that this needs to be done around the 60K. I still have the warrarnty on my car right now and i was wondering if i could take it to the dealer and have them do it for me, or does something need to go wrong first. The reason i ask is because im getting suspension and chip soon but want to take care of this first.
Thanks

look through the threads. This question has been asked three other times. I just had mine done, my car had 55000 miles on when I had it done. The only reson I had it done is because it had a small oil leak on the vavle cover gasket. I fugured since he was in there might as well do it all.
Audi recommends replacing the timing belt at 105k miles... Obviously that doesn't really work, so I would say get it done a bit earlier. Maybe 80k, unless you drive your car hard all the time. Reguardless, I highly doubt you can find any way to get it replaced on warranty.
if you buy an extended warranty, through an outside party... they will cover your timing belt and water pump replacement, they usually cost anywhere from 1500 - 3000. but they cover a whole lot more than just those two parts. engine, turbos, drivetrain, cooling system, electronics etc... i got mine from CNA id say they are a good company to go with.
