I will soon be purchasing a B5 S4 but I'm just waiting for the right set of miles for the right price. Anyway, I am not set on either a tip or a manual but I was wondering, if i do find a good deal on a Tip.. what kind of 0-60 times have you heard of with the S4 tip? I know they wont be anywhere as good as the manual, but I've seen some vids of youtube that I time at 7 secs.

All i know is the manual trans is rated at 5.5 so i will assume the automatic cannot be far off maybe a 6 second....the driver might not have been stepping on it all the way

 

do yourself a favor and get a manual! so much more fun!

even whenyou upgrade to stage 3, they aren't as quick/ fast.
stock tips prob around 6. im sure if you search a little you could find that out

 

im a stage 3-, and i havent really come across many things that are quicker. once you upgrade the power on it, the only place the TIP lacks is off the line. from a roll, there will be a negligable difference, especially if you have a TIP file/chip.

 

well i dont know about you all, but drag race cars are always either automatic or tip because usually automatic transmissions can shift way faster than a person can. unless audi just has a really slow automatic transmission. but ive never owned an automatic audi so i dont know.

 

the thing with stock vehicles tho, is that the torque converter has a low stall speed, so you have rev up much....if you upgrade the tq to say a 4000 stall speed, which you cuold not drive on street, and get a file for the tip, it will be much faster than a manual

 

i just say manual cus its SO much more fun
