So after swapping my tired and dirty air filter for a brand new shiny K&N, I was left perplexed about what is known on the B6 as the "pre-filter"...my question is this....is this prefilter really worth keeping or should it be pulled out to help increase airflow? I know at the end of the day we're only talking about .0001 horsepower, maybe half, but it's just the principle-is this really helping or hurting the intake? Any thoughts would be much appreciated............

 

not to familiar withh the B6 chassis but im sure the (pre-filter) is just liek a screen to keep rocks and larger objects outta there. Shouldnt be a huge issue.
