Default transmission help

Hi! I have a 2005 s4 6spd tip 13,500 miles and the car was in some water, had the dealer flush it and said it had lots of trash & very dirty
the car jumps under 2,000 rpm. like it can't make it's mind up what gear. bad converter, or clutch plates. ??? if you put your foot in it it shifts fine smooth. what do I do, the dealer raped me for that service over 1,400

Did you see the cost of the fluid? It was probably around 100 bucks a quart. Thats all audi. Nothing the dealer can do about that. How long did you drive it with water in it? You might have burned up a clutch pack.

ill be willing to bet its your TC...having them water soaked can cause them to overheat pretty easily ironic as that sounds. but again...the water will not mix with the tranny oil, so you will have problems all the way thru from that. id see if your insurance company will pay to have the trans rebuilt since it was basically an incident from a road hazard. there is no reason you shouldnt be able to try to claim transmisison trouble for that. look into it at least.
