Default RE: Transmission linkage

I do have a shortshitfter, I have pulled shifter assembley 3 times now, and tried realigning it.. i dont have bentley for the s4 yet but the i used dimensions from thevdub 6spd and tried the ones for the 5spd a4.. Reverse is ok to get into. as are all other gears. It just takes a huge amount of force to get the car into 1st or second... i cant even get the car straight from 1st to neutral.. have to pull back to second which is really hard also then push into neutral which isnt as bad but still isnt good. I have tried pumping the clutch a bunch as well and that does nothing. The car did something strange today though.. I forced it into second (while stopped) and it became extremely easy to put into 2nd from neutral and back to neutral again... i could do it back and forth really easily. It was def in gear when in second and in neutral when in neutral because i started it and let the clutch out slightly to test it.

If this problem was the dog teeth would it be ridiculously hard to get the shifter out of gear as well as in? I seriously am getting a bruise on my palm and an ache in my arm from doing those shifts.
