Trouble code help p1539 what is it?
I have a 01' s4 thatI just bought.....about three weeks after I bought it the trouble code p1539 came up. It is supposedly a clutch signal switch fault, but I have no idea what that is. I went to the dealership and got what amounts to a neutral safety switch an I install it but reset my computer beforehand. The car ran fine for about 300 miles and a trip to Pennsylvania to get an inspection then the code popped again. Any suggestions to a part that would fix this or has anyone had this code come up for them. Thanks for the help this is racking my brain.

P1539
Clutch Vacuum Vent Valve Switch Incorrect signal
Its the switch right above the clutch pedal, next to the brake light switch.
If it malfunctions you should be able to start the car without pushing in the clutch, thats all it really does.
Thanks tech so its not the actual switch for the qoute unqoute neutral safety switch its the vaccuum swith in front of the clutch pedal assembly. The big plastic piece of junk that the pedal actually comes foward too. I replaced the other switch in which you would push the clutch into per audi dealerships "recommendations" because thats what everyone replaces I was told. Hmmm never listen to someone just trying to sell something.
