Default Turbo Timers????

Ok so everyone bitches and wines about their s4 b5 eating the stock ko3's. Well wouldn't a turbo timer significantly extend the life of them???

Is anyone running a turbo timer on their b5? If so, which would you suggest?

I had a greddy turbo timer put in my b5. It was pretty cool, but the people who installed it did a half-a$$ sloppy job. (Boomer McLoud car audio for anyone in new england) I was not pleased to say the least. To top it off less than 6 months later a relay broke inside the timer. The shop wont guarentee their work, and greddy said buy a new one. Now when i turn off the car it will not stay running and theres a loud buzzing inside the turbo timer for a few seconds.

So i went out and bought an A'pexi turbo timer, after talking to my mechanic he told me straight up its not worth the time effort and money. If you beat on your car, let it run for 5 minutes in your driveway before you turn it off. Honestly the more i think about it the more i agree with him.

If you are set on getting one, I'd go with the Apex Pen sized turbo timer. And I read somewhere that someone stuck it in their ashtray to keep it out of sight. The GReddy is good too.

Ive never had a thing for greddy, always thought of them as a ricer company; shitty exhausts, crappy cheap bovs. HKS has always had a special place in my heart

I have to disagree with what has been posted up top ! I installed my turbo timer as soon as I got my car (Used)and I enjoy the fact that if I ran my car on the way home, all I do is turn my car off put my key in the door turn the key and walk away as my car cools down for 3 min ! I dont see how you can put a 69.00USDin a better way it took 25-30 min to install and I never have to sit in my car to make sure it cools down ! I have better things to do then sit in my car for 3-5 min thinking and wishingpeople invented a computer to sit in the car for me !
