Default Upgradeing to a S4. which one?

I want to upgrade to a S4 within the next 6 months.
I am torn between a 2002 twin turbo and a 2004-2005 NA V8?

money out of the picture, what is going to be the best option? I am probably going to be mildly modding wich ever I choose. I will probably go with an intake, full exhaust including manifolds and hi flow cats, suspension, and I i go with the 2002 then also a chip.

Do you want a 6speed or a Tip? 2002 I think only had Tip... Confirm / Deny?

The b5 would be faster, but turbos and associated systems are going to cost you more for matinance. The V8 will have deeper sound, nicer interior, less miles, but it more expensive. Its all a question of personal preference. Your not doing anything extreme so either would be fine. Go drive both and pick what you like better.

I will be getting a MT only. how much more would the maitnace be, I am a huge DIYer. I currently own an A4 1.8t and do all of my own work, includeing my timing belt among various other maitnance items. which car is DIY friendly? I have driven both and I am currettly leaning towards the 2004/5, I miss the sound of a V8 rumble, but the sound of a couple turbos spooling up would mighty fine too.

well, NEITHER are diy friendly, but the b5 is less of a pain than the v8 imo. For specifics on the diy issues check the FAQ

Matinance is expensive, but if you wrench yourself you will save alot of money. Parts are expensive too. Theres alot of DIY's for the b5, less for the b6/b7. If you do get a v8, get the b7, if i were to pick one for relyablilty it would be the v8. If thats what you want milltek makes a great full exhaust, after that you could lower it and get programming from somewhere like vast. However the same mods on a b5 (chip, full exhaust, intake) will be faster than the b7. Look on youtube.com if you want to hear videos of the cars. Obviously work isnt as easy as the 1.8 though.

I think that the majority of AF users that are online a lot are B5ers. So your poll is going to be more biased towards the Twin Turbo. But thats just my thoughts, not anyone elses.
