Default VAG-COM TOOL

Hey I just got my S4 (lovin life) and I am looking at Vag Com tools. What are most people using? I know about the Ross-Tech Products and I came across one from OBD (71.00$) tools. Any others that people reccommend? Would totally appreciate input before I go and get one. Thanks.

check if its opened and licensed which cost approx 100$ other wise it wont do all the functions its capable of, VAG is a stand alone for the Audi/VW/Skoda and unbeaten for the DIYer

OK, obviously not the sexiest thread out there, well I went with Ross-Tech, hope it wasn't a mistake. Thanks.

The Ross-tech one is the ONLY one to get, all others are shareware versions. The first time you have a real problem, it will pay for it's self.

No worries with the Ross-Tech. A couple of friends just ordered two. I will share theirs if I ever need it!

Hey gang! Ok, I need a little help on what all this HEX-COM, KEY-COM, KEY-USB, Micro-CAN, the hell does all that mean, besides the USB one, I assume it means it connects via USB. Which one should I get? There one better then another? Should I just buy the software and just get a cable on ebay?

Haha, funny I am asking this, hand me a wrench and a screw driver I can fix anything, but when it comes to computers and their terms I am in a "Duhhh...." phase.

LOL, Dave, the code is now in the cable, so you don't activate anything anymore!

Siren, if you read the web page they explain what all the different cables do. If you have a B5, the Key-USB is all you need.
