Default What arre the best springs...

...if I'm staying with my stock S4 shocks? I know they will eventually wear out, but I have an extra set of stock shocks to replace then when they do AND I can only afford springs now and really want to do this. So what springs work BEST with the stock shocks? Thanks...

Eibach, Tein, H&R, etc????

I put some H&R coil-overs in a 1999 A8 (since sold) and the results were very good. ThIe handling improved a lot, but the ride was not very compliant. Hense, if I was to go this route again I think I would try KW. I think they would improve handling without losing compliance because they are a progressive spring. I put a progressive spring in my '99 Triumph Daytona 1200SE (motorcycle) from RaceTech and the results were outstanding - handling improved dramatically and no compliance was lost. Since KW is the same idea, my opinion is that their coil-overs would be a significant improvement. Go here:

This may be another alternative. I saw this on another thread here which mentioned their store on Ebay. Here is D2 Racing's web site:

This may not be relevant, but I tried just springs on my A6 (Eibach) and the results were not good. Harder ride and the handling still sucked. I'd recommend saving up and going with coilovers; I think you'll be happier in the long run. On a related note, if you don't already have one, get a rear swaybar - best bang for the buck handling wise (at least on the B7).
