Default What is this connector for?

This is behind the splash-guard on the driver's side front wheel well.
I was pulling it off to remove the ABS controller so I can try to fix my intermittent alarm.
I noticed this connector just sitting there, swinging... not connected to anything.
Anyone know what it's too? I can't see anything that's unplugged.
The only thing right now that doesn't work is my headlight squirters. Maybe it's to them?

Thats a connector that goes to the main engine wiring harness so its gotta be something like a sensor or an emissions system. If you have an automatic it could go to the vaccum pump directly above where the connector is hanging. That or it goes to the transmission somewhere.

The connector you see only has about 6 or 7" of slack in the cable from where it splits off from a cable bundle. So, there's not a lot of length in it. It would never reach the transmission.
Where is the vacuum pump you're talking about?

The vaccum pump is only equipped on automatic models, its next to the coolant resivior on the driver's side. (bigsilver cap)

What would the symptoms be if it were unplugged?

Its only equipped for automatic models to aid the assistance for the cruise control, so the cruise control might not always work.
You can see it if you take off the plastic cover by the power steering resivior, it might not have a silver cap though, you should see three wires running into it on the top.

FYI, that connector if pulled straight up only extended 1" above the lid of the power steering reservoir.
I don't have anything next to my power steering reservoir under the plastic cover.

The connector goes on the bottom of the pump so you WOULD have enough wire but since nothings there and i assume you have no faults, the hell with it let it fu cking chill there!

If I had faults, they would be related to the cruise control correct?
These are my current failure codes:
