Most likely a cylinder misfire. I haven't encountered one yet in my s4, but my jetta had a cylinder misfire once. When the car started, the engine block was shaking, causing the whole car to shake, and the check enging light came on as well. My buddy with his VAG was over, and he checked the code and it was a cylinder misfire. I revved it a couple times, and all of a sudden it was back to normal.

I just took it to autozone and they ran the vag on it and I got multiple misfire. So it looks like tommorrow Im going to be pulling out the plugs and checking them. It should only be the plugs though right?

I talked to my girlfriends step dad because he works on alot of german cars and he seems to think its the coil pack. I didnt know they have one on every cylinder...Is there anyway I can test them when I take them out?

MIL only flashes to indicate catalyst damage i.e. raw fuel being spewed into the converters. definately an ignition issue. check coil packs. let it idle and get a squirt bottle w/ water and spray each coin individually. if you spray one and it starts arcing and misfirring...booya, thats a bad coil. if not, check other ignition componants.

But Im a little lost, do I take the coil pack off the spark plug? or do I just unplug it and spray there? I'm not sure where I need to spray the water.

I found a little place here in wilmington that wont charge me to get the code. Will it hurt the car to drive it over there? The Check Engine Flashed at me when I drove it to auto zone last night. It feels like I have one hell of a cam in it right now

one cam in?? could be a cam sensor I would call some one out before you screw the top end up completely, VAG is awesome for this stuff so if you know where one is to borrow then do that
