What the hell...
Its either that, the plugs, or something much worse.
Never tried it myself so i dont know if the wires are long enough but try switching the wire for the cylinder next to it and see if that changes the misfiring cylinder. If not pull your plug.

Well see, I pulled the coils out, without the plugs on them. and cylinder 1 wouldnt shock me no matter which coil I put on it. I could switch the coils back and forth but nothing would work on cylinder one. So it has to be something that comes before the coil. I dont think the plugs will have an effect since there isnt any electricity getting to it on cylinder one. So my theory is that it has to be the wires or something that is before the coil.
Whats the tech's take on this?

I just talked to a guy at the shop I took it to earlier and he said since I wasnt getting any fire to the coil and since the coil wasnt bad, then it has to be an input/output control module..a little thing the size of a cracker that sits on top of the air box, a 3 prong brown going in and a 4 prong brown going out. He told me that in the 2000's, that little peice is what tells the coils when to fire.
Cert. Techs, does this sound right to you?

Thats what I thought, But the S4 has 2 of them, so I switched the plugs and I got a spark off cylinder one. NowI just have to find one at a decent price, all Ive seen have been 225+
