what r the widest tire u can fit on a b5 audi s4........ the widest on stock rims... ihave 225/45/17 i hear i can fit 235/45/17 but could i fit 245/45/17

im getting new tires on my car and i was wondering what r the widest i can put on stock rims

 

I might be mistaken, but when I was flossing the S-car, I thought that the biggest problem with large tires wouldn't be the fender lip, but rather the upper control arm mount. Seems to me that thing was way close with stock tires, and would be the first thing to rub with an upgrade on stock wheels.

 

If an RS4 of the same body style can use 255/35/18s, why can't you?

Because its widebody, and the fenders are extremely flared compared to the b5 s4.
