Hey guys, I'm in the market for an S4 and can't decide if I should pull the trigger now or wait until summer/fall to do it. I would really like to get an 05 and spend right around $25-$27K. From what you always hear, redesigns always cause the older models to take a bit of a tumble in resale. If that's the case with the 09's being redesigned, maybe I'd be better off waiting for late summer/fall as I might be able to get in an 05 with less thank 30K miles on it for right at my price range. Any thoughts? Oh and I'm planning on a V-8 auto in gray or black or possibly silver or red with lighter interior with every option including navigation.

I would say try and wait.

A) If the prices come down on the B6's B7's Great.

B) If the '09 is that sweet you can scoop up one of those

I sometimes wish I had waited before getting mine, but I am planning on keeping the car for a very long time. I put less than 4k on it last year. 1.5k on my TT. By the time I am ready to sell either of them they will be worth what I paid for them again.

 

So, just to be clear, the 05's are B6's right?

And Camo, I'd love to have one of those 09's, but not sure I'm ready to plunk that kind of cash down quite yet. Kid #2 is due in August and considering that's going to create a daycare payment that is considerably more than my house payment, I think used is going to be the way I go.
