Im all about the power. Looking to get a B5 S4 but I am not sure what year I should get for modding. I want to put the K04 turbo kit into it but I have heard there are some small differences in the years that could make some differences in the reliability and performance. Any thoughts on the best year would be helpfull and who sells the best kit. Thanks

 

Just get a 2000 then. You will save a little bit of money, and there are a whole lot more of them out there. It doesnt really matter about the year if you're jsut planning to put hte k04's in, soif you find a nice one of any year jump on it, just go for options then and not year. Be ready with k04s to get a tbb, dv's, downpipes, exhaust, chip, becasue those things are going to NEED to be replaced wiht k04s. Also eventually think fueling because it wil make your car run better as well. going stage 3(- or + for that matter) aint gonna be cheap, and unless you do most of those things if not all you will just have to put even more money into repairs...
