Ive been looking at the best bang for my buck, I see that K04, K16 and Gt28R are major upgrades. Im looking for decent spool up with power delievery over 350-400 range. Why? Because its what I want to do. The KO4's do that easily if you run them with other upgrades such as GIAC chip and fuel system and exhaust. But what does making a hybrid get you? I cant seem to get much info on them. K04/K16 hybrid and I dont even know much about the GT28R. Any info you guys have would be great, everyone seems pretty knowledgable and I just got my S4 so I want to do it right. Thanks everyone!

 

hard to say the best bang for the buck... all will give you a lot of power... i would say avoid the hybrids.. i havent seen anyhting that shows any more gains from hybrids over k04 for that extra money.. the gt would dominate but it is more money..thats gonna be a personal perference..

 

Yea, thats what im thinking. I guess the lag would be higher with the GT28R, but what im getting at is that the hybrids have the smaller K04 (o2) housing with a K16 compressor wheel, which should give them a K04 spool up with a power delivery of a K16 compressor. But I dont know if the lag is worse, or if the K16'are direct bolt ups. Anyone thats has some info would be much appreciated. Thanks for the reply though! The main pic for that website is the background on my computer, but I never knew that the answer was right under my nose. Turns out that the K16/K04 hybrids produce a whopping 550hp when they unload and if you write to (Imolavirus@msn.com) then you can talk to a guy from Buehn who can do the custom application according to your needs, but be ready to shell out some cash, custom and "im on a budget" dont go together. It also looks like this guy basically built the car the way I was going to. Autospeed exhaust, Piggie downpipes, hybrid K16/K04 turbos with StaSIS suspension and UUC shortshift. That kinda sucks, but he doesnt live in TN/KY area so its open season . Thank you for the info and if anyone else wants some real good info for your S4 its at www.nogaroblue.com under modifications.
