I know the most costly part to maintiance S4 V6 BITURBOis the turbo parts. So let's do a survey about inhow manykilometershave your turbo first gone? indicates your car's year and kilometers.

if you currently run your 2.7L Biturob over 200,000kms I would also like to hear anything about how did you maintainced in past years.

 

mine started screaming around 118,000 and it just blew at 122,500 miles, not km
2001. I've had it for a little under a year and a half and I tried to keep it out of boost until the oil got warm. its a 2001.
currently under the knife!! K04's should last a while

 

01.5 original turbos with 58,000 miles, theyre a little noisy.....

 

01.5 with 96k miles they whistle but nothing bad yet.

yeah i am at 91,000 miles and my turbos are going stong, looked at them when i did my belts and no shaft play.

 

wow. seems like our car was not that bad at all. average miles up to now was around 100,000miles which is not bad to me!!!!
let's keep hearing what other's inputs..

 

108k miles and having a little chirpy business with them but other than that they are strong.

 

ya, if you're lucky to be those ones... some are like 140K with stock turbos... i still think chipping the turbos and creating the extra boost hurts them for sure... not immediate. but some are only getting 60k out of stock turbos. its a poker game really.
There are some people with only a few thousand miles on new K04's that are going! I heard there was a "bad batch" in sept- november where there might have been some shaft play.
