You S4 guys with the 4.2 and Tip can also respond, probably the same tranny.
The new to us CPO '02 S6 with 19k seens to have a slipping tranny. I first noticed what I thought might be some slippage within one week after we got it. Didn't happen again for a while. Now it seems to be getting worse. It's slipping off he line in 1st and 2nd. The revs will get up to 3000-4000 but the car is barely getting out of its own way. If you've driven an S6, you know that 3000-4000 revs should be knocking you back in your seat. It's intermittent but it's definitely getting worse.
For those of you who DID have problems that sound like this, what was the problem and the fix? Did it happen under warranty OR CPO warranty? We have original warranty until June and CPO for 2 years after that.
