Wierd cluncking/popping noise?!
On my 2001.5 Avant, the rear drivers side wheel im getting a wierd popping/clunking noise. It started when i would turn, but now its pretty constant. At first i thought it was just the wheel bearing, but thought i would try to get some other opinions. Any input would be appreciated.
Also check the bottom of the rear strut/shock. There is a nylon (rubber) bushing that can wear out. it should be easy to see from the rear. When the bushing wears, it allows some slack in the suspension, this can also cause abnormal tire wear as well. When you look at the hole for the bushing it will be round and tight, a worn one will be oblong, and the whole shock will need to be replaced.
very piossibley put in wrong one of my front ones was once. But go iwth the rubber bushing at the bottom of the strut/shock assembly.
I have a clanking spoons noise ocming form mine that i cannon find.
