Just wondering how many of you drive your S in the winter...Im figuring out if I should put Winter tires on it or keep the all weather car cover on it at my shop. I know they are the best in the snow. but I live in VT and love the thing and the previous owner never drove it in the winter...Just wondering what I should do..

I dirve my car in snow and it's a lot of fun I live in Québec, Canada. 45min from VT
border actually. Put some good snow tires on it and enjoy. It's a blast to drive in snow.

I plan on buying some Snow tires and driving it throughout the winter. I live in Michigan, not the worst winters, but they can get bad.

 

Its your car, but it can definetly take it . We have had a bit of snow in the northern ADK's andim still driving mine on my summer p4's orp6'. It runs great,and turn off your esp its like driving your 318is . deffinetly get snow tires though before to long

If you plan on doing some serious snow driving definitly get snow tires, but personally i think for a normal person all-seasons will work fine, at least here in NH. However us s4 owners are by no means normal...

If you choose to drive it in the snow you will have insane ammounts of fun and will be laughing as you drive

if you don't loop chains on any front or rear drives, you definately don't need stud for quattro. just don't skimp on the winter shoes. i run dunlop wintersport m3, but they run expensive and i've heard from others that the blizzak is at the top of the list and run a little cheaper.

 

I live in Colorado (lots of snow) and drive mine all year round. Put on a set of all season tires, they work just fine. I run a set of Yokohama all seasons and they hold great in the snow, and they weren't too expensive, ~$140 per corner.

Plus, as others have mentioned, it's fun as hell to drive in the snow.
