Default wtb s4 but worried about..turbo blow outs?

Hi, im new to this forum!
i am thinking about purchasing a 2001.5-2002 s4. the only thing that is worrying me right now is the fact that i am hearing that once u chip the s4, there is a possibility that the turbo can blow out. this is making me really uneasy. ive been obsessed about the s4, but the fact that the turbo can blow out after i chip it is really making me reconsidering buying the s4. is this some type of rumor? does it happen often? can you guys give me words of comfort? thanks!!

also, another thing, is the back of the s4 really that small? i vaguely remember riding in someone's a4, and remember it was pretty small. can the average adult fit in the back comfortably? thanks again!

Yes it is true about the turbos. I dont think the engine will be a problem the 2.8 *original version of the engine) is very realible. The only bad part is the turbos. They will go wheather you chip it or not the only thing is it will speed it up somewhat. It also depends on the maintence of them and alot of other factors on whne they will go. Some people ahev ha dthem chipped for 50,000 mi and others only got 50,000 mi wothout it being chipped. If u plan of replacing the turbos go for the car and then replace them with K04s that thing would be a beast. Imolas4 did this.
