Its a slippery slope and what everyone said is right, once you start you can't stop. For me it was simple, I have no plans to sell my S4, its my second car and not my daily driver. I consider it a work in progress... no matter how modded it is, there will always be more I can do. But to each their own, it would seem the smart thing to do is save your money, enjoy the S4 as it is. If you really feel the need to do something keep it simple with some nice wheels, suspension to match and a short shifter if you are a 6sp. Anything more than is opening a can of worms.

Even stock you should do the TBB & DV's.

Just adding a cat back will not hurt the turbo's in any way. My thought is they help them out, due to the fact they flow better and do a better job of removing heat from the exhaust. Turbo back is even better! I have my DP ceramic coated, it really lowers underhood temps, and turbo temps.

As far as a chip killing K03's come on, it's more how you drive the car. There are people with over 100kmi on chipped K03's. If you drive in boost most of the time, they will just not last. Do you keep your oil changed? Do you let the car warm up & cool off? IMHO, that affects turbo life more then a chip.

Since I had my car chipped, I spend more time at lower RPM's. Most of my driving is under 2500rpms. That should really help out the turbos and it's better for my MPG.

IMHO, the car is so different from stock with a Turbo back & chip! It really opens up the car, and just feels better. If your K03's do go, you can replace them with K03's.
It's more fun having the car moded, then not touching it and worrying about it all the time. You know they are going to go some time, you can't stop it, unless you don't drive the car. What fun is that?

Yes, once you start it's hard to stop, but it's just so much dam fun!
