Default B5 A/C doesnt work. leak sound when recharging

Hey everybody. i know this thread has been revisited numerous times but id like to present my current issue with my a/c.

Bought the car July 2012 @ 79K miles. The heat didn't work but A/C was strong, had the dealer "clean out" the heater core lines and the heat worked fine after that. Around December, was blowing tons of white out the exhaust and had my indie mechanic replace 2 blown turbos. spindles wouldnt spin by hand at all and tons of coolant mixed with oil and oil in the intercooler system and air system (y-pipe, tubes, etc.). So $3,000 later, KO4, inlet pipes, radiator fix, labor $$$$$$, Im not ready to easily spend that kind of money again and will step up to the plate and do my own work as much as possible. You will see my other threads....

Today, heat works, a/c doesnt and oil burning smell, looks like above the passenger turbo, Im assuming the valve cover gasket? and or cam plug. Looks like the valve cover gasket right above the cam plug. Anyway, my windows fog up instantly if its raining out so need to fix this. i bought the a/c recharger and followed the instructions, as far as i can tell the compressor kicked on although im not sure where axactly that is at the moment. When i started charging the system i heard a distinct leaking sound from that area. Couldnt feel the air anywhere but sounded like it was coming from where the lines enter the firewall.

What do you think is going on? I heard many opinions: re-charge it, the heater core is bad, lines are clogged, compressor isnt working. Need a little directions. Thank You
