B8 a4 or s4 for budget buyer
I'm 19 and own a 2005 audi allroad 2.7t and its around 180k miles and starting to cost more to maintain than its worth so im in the market for a new car, i have a budget of 28k and i found a few b8 s4's in that price. I will be making some payments if i go over 22 which is why I'm not just going to get the s4. I am considering a b7 or b6 s4 as well but i simply love the body of the b8...
My question is what are your recommendations? should i buy a b8 a4 and put 10k of work into it or buy a stock s4 and leave it stock for quite a while?
I love the noise and driving feel of the s4 as i drive them frequently enough, i just don't know if i could make an equally fun a4.

I'm in the same boat with an aging 02 A4. This time around I'm seriously considering the 2010/11 S4. The reason I want a 2010 or 11 is simple, TIMING CHAIN. Also, they are fairly more affordable now and a premium package with all the bells and whistles still looks nice. The other car I'm considering is a 2007 Aston Martin Vantage V8.
Still doing my research on the Vantage to see how much maintenance it requires. So far the only real issue I've heard about so far is the clutch, a 4k job. OUCH!
