B8 S4 Spark Plug Change / Idle Problems
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a hand.
Today I changed the spark plugs in my B8 S4. When I fired it up after the change the idle was noticeably poor.
Any thoughts as to why? I read a couple articles and watched a couple of videos. Perhaps I didn't tighten the plugs in enough?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat

If you tightened them according to specs and purchased the correct models - I would check the gap next. Improperly gapped plugs will run poorly. Especially if you have any kind of tune on the car it needs to be spot on.
After that I guess it's always possible you got a bad spark plug (never happened to me but I guess it's not impossible).
Also, make sure nothing fell into the hole (that's why you see a lot of people put paper/shop towels in the opening after removing the spark plugs so they stay "clean")
