Battery
My wife has a '13 S4 that we bought new in '14 as a leftover. A month ago she started getting low battery warnings and the car was sluggish starting. We are 1 1/2 hr. from the dealer, so I bought the best battery I could find locally and changed it. It was a lot smaller but cranked the car over just fine. When she took it in for regular service, they gave her a new battery (charged $250 to re-install the bad battery to check it). They told us that I should not have installed a new battery; because the Audi management system will cook any other battery within a month.
True, or just more dealer BS?
I find it hard to believe that NAPA would sell me a 5 year battery if it's going to get wrecked in a month.
Not a huge loss all around because I can put the battery I bought for the Audi in my '09 Jetta.
Thanks
