Default Porsche cayenne caliper

I have a b6 s4 and just recently did the porsche 18z 350mm calipers with ml 55 rotors maybe its me but I feel the brakes aren't as good as the stock s4 ,now I did use inexpensive wbr pads instead of Hawk HPS wich seems to be the pads of choice because I wanted to make sure everything functioned properly. What do you guys think?

did you bed the pads? also the larger caliper/pads take longer to heat up and grip.
