Bam!

Audi B5 S4 2.7T > Search > Timing Belt > ES#7439 ECS Tuning Timing Belt Kit - Ultimate Plus - 078198670

youre gonna want to do as much preventative maintenance as possible before you start adding hp. this t-belt kit, new vac lines and a silicone hose kit to start.

Yeah this forum is really dead for this car.

For a stage one tune you should just get something used off the audizine.com market place. Companies like apr, mtm, Giac, epl, j-fonz are all good. Follow that up with some down pipes and a cat-back.

For dp's and exhaust there are many options. A cheap decent quality route would be ssautochrome. The best would be companies like 034 Motorsports, gmg, apr(rsc), autospeed and Wagner.

This all should get your a nice amount of added power. Get some coil overs, apikol rear diff brace, 034 snub mount, hotchkis/034 sway bars, autospeed drivetrain stabilizer and 034 sub-frame bushings and you are set!

When that hp gets boring step up to a stage two tune and some meth.

GIAC X-chip - The Audizine Classifieds

GIAC tuned ecu - 93oct - giacX - A-BOX - The Audizine Classifieds

GIAC M-box 6 spd ecu - The Audizine Classifieds

GiAC 93 tune M Box - The Audizine Classifieds

01-02 s4 L-box JHM ECU Tiptronic - The Audizine Classifieds

the tunes are tranny specific. so make sure you get one for either a 6-speed or auto tranny depending on what you have. you also have to make sure the tuned ecu you pick is the same letter as your ecu. l-box, m-box, etc.

what you should do is have it looked over by a mechanic and find out what might be wrong with it and take care of maintenance first.

glad you feel that way. better to have a reliable car than something that will cause you more trouble down the road. i have a b5 i bought last november that ive replaced all the rotors, break pads, replaced both front axles, the MAF, both rear axles, had a kevlar timing belt installed along with everything that comes in a timing belt kit, drive belt replaced, and i still have a large vacuum leak i have to track down, out side of that the only other thing ive done is put a k&n air filter in the stock air box, tint, after market double din stereo, wink mirror, and a awe boost gauge. havent had a chance to really start doing engine mods yet but eventually.
