I've been searching through threads on here, but, I haven't been able to find any info to help me specifically.

I just bought a 2001 S4 and I cannot get the trunk open! I've already learned there is no release button in the cabin. And I only have 2 keys, none of which have a keyfob, so there is no button to push on a remote.

From what I understand, the silver "button" on the trunk is supposed to pop out. No such luck here. I've sprayed a little WD40 in an around there hoping to loosen things up a bit.

Is there any other trick that I am missing??
