Whats it take to get to operating tempurature?
i'm somewhat new to my S5, and i must say, i'm hooked. There are a couple of oddities though that i wanted to run by the members.
1. Heater: i'm on ohio, and we actually depressing cold winters here. it takes my S5 forever to fully warm up (meaning the temp gauge is at half way), when the outside temps go below 25 degrees F. I realize that it takes some time to warm up 9 quarts of synthetic, but this just seems excessive ((15-20 minutes of driving combined with a 5 minute pre start warm up). Heater does blow heat before then, but certainly not as warm as it could be. Any other vehicle i've owned, i would say that my thermostat was stuck open. i've got no warning lights on and have been to 2 dealers who both claim everything is "ship shape". is this just inherent to this vehicle?
2. Air conditioning: im in ohio, we actually have depressing hot humid summers here. if i set the air conditioning temp at 70 or below, the car simply cant reach it. it just blows and blows. 2 dealers checked it out, and say everything is "ship shape" (after then changed a air conditioning sensor that was recalled, and did not change the behavior of the cooling system). it does blow cold air, but not cold enough to get the cabin temp to the desired temp. is this just inherent to this vehicle?
i appreciate any input.
