2005 Audi A3 sportsback , 2.0 (Axx motor) metallic rasping noise @2800rpm upwards.

Hi everyone, I’m at my wits end.
I have a 2005 Audi A3 Sportsback 2.0 tfsi (model 8PA, Axx engine)
it has a metallic rasping noise from 2800rpm upwards, and ‘tinckling” sound when it comes back down to idle.
the high pressure fuel pump has been replaced, the intake flap kit and software has been done, but the noise has not changed. I have had it by several dealers and they can’t tell me what’s causing it. Any idea on what I can look at next?
