When I cold start my 2002 all road 2.7t there will be a loud fan noise that goes on for about a minute. The noise is pretty loud and noticeable. After about a minute of the noise it will all the sudden stop and run and sound normal and fine. It's been like this for a few weeks now and nothing major has happened. I've read a few threads on this but couldn't find a clear answer on what this is, how it can be fixed, and how urgent this is to be fixed.

This problem only happens on a cold start, if I leave the car for a few hours it will make this noise but if I just turned off the car after driving it then turn it back on the noise will not happen
