Useless DIY - Create AF Favorites icon in Windows Explorer Favs
OK, because I don't have the tools or knowledge to tinker with my A4 (that's why I'm on AF afterall), I'll waste some time with a nearly useless contribution to the forum -- adding an Explorer Favorites Icon for AF.
Tired of seeing the lame generic Windows Explorer icon next to AudiFourm when Audzine and Audi World have a cool icon? Use this most helpful DIY to add a custom, lowered, chipped, boosted, cropped, smoked out AF icon.
- OK, the lame part is, you have to get this icon in the correct format, ".ico" I don't know how to post the .ico file itslef for you to download, so copy or download this icon to your hard drive:
- Next you have to convert it to the correct file format ".ico" If you want, PM me and I can just email it to you.
Once you've saved the icon, go to this site to convert it to ".ico"
http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/
- Now that you've got the "favicon.ico" saved to your hard drive, you can update the favorites icon.
- Click on Favorites, see lame generic Windows Explorer icon next to AudiForum
- Right click on the generic Explorer icon
- Select Properties
- Click Change Icon
- Click Browse
- Browse to saved file
- Seclect it, Open, OK, Apply. OK
Should now see the new AudiForum icon.
