I just installed the K and N Typhoon cold air intake system on my 2012 A4. Has anyone installed this and encountered an odd sickly whistle noise that is tied to low and mid throttle applications? I cannot duplicate the noise while parked. I have owned many turbo cars and the noise sounds more like a vacuum whistle than anything else, not the turbo impeller. Once past half throttle the noise goes away and the car moves out but it is annoying. All connections are tight and there are only 3 clamps total so I am baffled.

 

Just a quick update, noise was too annoying, and even after I re-torqued everything lined the area with mylar insulation, the noise persisted. I finally removed the whole setup and put it back to stock. autoan--hing gave me a no-hassle return and I got a drop-in filter instead.

 

A tangent here, but does a drop in filter actually make a noticeable difference to your acceleration?
