me and my friend were bored a while ago and decided to run our cars. i have a 99 a4 1.8T thats stock, cept the strait pipes, and my friend has a 06 impreza with a WRX engine(he blew the stock engine and got this one a few weeks ago). anyway we decided to run on this straight right near my house, its about 1.5miles long and we started at a traffic light. the other side of the traffic light turned red so i reved up to about 4500RPMs, and when it turned green i launched that car so hard even i was supprised, my launch alone put me out a good car and a half and i just held him off the whole time, i went for my hazard lights at about 90MPH but my indash TV was in the way and i had to put it down before i could declair my win, but i sitll got it. this just goes to show even if you have a slower car, it all depends on the driver and the reaction off the light.

well don't know what to say but that's cool, can't believe you held it for a win. 4500 is pretty high for stock, next time your tranny might be in pieces.

Damn, did ur friend know this was suppose 2 be a race? The 150hp A4's take forever to even hit 60. Not 2 rag,but you may wanna run again when your friend is ready 2 race.

 

^^^^ The 1.8 T is 180HP stock. The A4 should have gotten *** raped. Did the WRX miss a shift or start in 3rd or something? A win is a win I guess. [&:]

 

His is 150hp. stock it's a B5. The rapage shoulda hurt even more.

My 1979 D-50 goes to 60Mph faster than that...hahahah FYI - 2.6 liter 4 cyl....either this guy is lying through his teeth or was hitting the pipe while writing his post. Either way...story is BS.
