i have a 2000 audi a4 1.8t with giac chip, borla exhaust,short throw and dv. but i had my car for about a month and when i got it i thought it was pretty fast but since the audis are so smooth i guess i couldnt tell how fast it really is cause i have already beattwo of my friends with1993 mustang gts with full exhaust, headers,cams,3:73 gears and a couple of small mods. first i raced one of them from a 40 mph roll and i started in third cause i didnt want to be too hard on it cause i just bought it but i beat him by like 4 or 5 car lenghts then i raced them from a dig and beat them both by about 2 or 3 lenghts up to like 70mph. i have also beat two 1st gen eagle talons and they both had al least exhaust and blow of valve but thats all i could tell just from racing them. oh yeah and i beat a 97 mustang gt. i quess the reason i posted this is that i havent lost one race yet so its pretty cool.[align=center][align=center][/align][/align]

stangs are pushing 225 hp stock and high 13's low 14's 1/4, what you say they have, they should be about 250-300 and well into the 13's 1/4
what you have done might get you high 14's low 15's...... from a dig i can see you busting them by a car or so, but once they hook up..... or they might hook up right away, then nothing....... they will walk you by like 4 or 5 cars, easily

the talons, need more info, but i say unless he was a gs, not a gsi or tsi, then he should of walked you...... dsm's are monsters unless crank walk has completely killed the motor..... and with mild mods, more than what you say, and he might jsut have been over the 200 range, they get about 225 - 250 hp and awd will kill you

 

Hate to be the one to call you out on this one, but....... IF you won those races, you beat the drivers, NOT the cars. The GT's you mention should be comfortably in the 13's. Easily enough to hand you your ***, especially from a roll. Sounds like either BS, or the people you're racing can't drive worth a ****. Just my opinion.

 

you guys are a bunch of haters but whatever you dont know **** about dsms cause there is no car called a gsi and if they have a crank walk the car is done so how would i race a car that doesnt run.and a 1st gen dsm with exhaust has like 200 hp and they run like a 6.8ish 0-60 and around low 15s stock and one of them was actually boosting 15 pounds and they run like 10 or 11psi stock. so dont tell me its bs cause i have no reason to make **** up, i just thought some fellow audi guys might want to hear that. but i raced a 2007 subaru wrx tonight-from a dig i had him by like half a car then at the end of second he was like a fender in front of me and by the end of third he had pulled about a car and a half or two cars-from a forty roll he beat me by like three cars to about 90mph. but those are so much faster than the 02-05s-they run a 5.5 0-60 holy ****

 

Deek, no reason to getso defensive. If you take a step back and look at what everyone is saying, they aren't hating on you, they are just saying that you shouldn't be so cocky in thinking that your car is faster than the ones that you have raced, when, if what you say is true as far as mods go, then those other cars should beat you.Everyone here is an audi enthusiast, no reason to hate on anyone.

 

Whoa, no one here is hating on you. I just said that those cars should have beat you. If they didn't, then they obviously had crappy drivers. And considering I have at least 10 friends w/ DSM's, I'm pretty sure I know a thing or two about them. They're very hit or miss. W/ relatively few mods, they can be quick as ****. And beat-up, ragged-out ones can be slow as ****. As for the WRX, the new ones aren't that much quicker than the older ones. They only have 3 more hp. But they have a broader powerband due to their increase to 2.5l. They are some pretty quick little cars though. I've had more than a few give me a hell of a fight in the Z.

yeah they are alot faster the 02 to 05 wrxs run anywhere from 5.8-6.1 0-60 and the 07 wrx tr which is the one that i raced does 0-60 in 5.3!!! and like a 14 flat and the older ones are like mid to high 14s. do you want me to like video tape this **** next time i race im not making this **** up
