I used to own a BMW 325is that I autocrossed. Now it's gone and I replaced it with a 1999.5 A4 2.8Q.

I'll probably be autocrossing my A4, since I'd hate to give up the sport. Anyone here have any experience in autocrossing an A4? How does it handle a typical course?

 

My friend had both the V6 and 1.8 a4's and autocrossed both of them and he said that the 2.8 was a blast to drive but the 1.8 was way under powered as a quattro.

 

I've done autocrossing and some TSD rally in my A4, they aren't great for it because of the understeer and slugish brakes, but you can totally still have fun. I placed fourth in novice in my first auto-x in my A4, so if you know how to drive, you can be competitive. Be advised, though, that in stock class (g-stock) you're up against Cooper-S's and CRX's.
