So my buddy is over last night to tint hit side markers and tails on his mark III gti and he decides he wants an oil change too.... so we leave to go get the oil and filter.

on the way back we pull up next to this 230 kompressor with flashy bling bling 18's and look over.... start talking about how queer he looks and i say roll down your window and ask him if he wants to race......so my buddy starts to do it, i tell him i am playing cause of how this kid looks

ilook over again and notice he is looking at my freshly painted s4 wheels and think this kid just might wanna, but i have second thoughts about spooling the turbo....... light goes green and this kid romps on it so i obliged.... we were even through third gear shift, then i took off and he slowed down so my buddy decideds to hit my flashers to let him know he just got owned

the guy looked no more than 175lbs, i weight about 240 and both other guys in the car are 140 a piece, so i have 520lbs of people and a 1.8t v this v6 supercharged car with a 175lb guy.... not to shabby eh?

Huh? Was the C230 a coupe or 4 door? Actually it doesn't matter, the 230 Kompressor is NOT a V6...Nevermind SUPECHARGER LOL. It's a 4 cyclinder piece of ****....You should have won with ease. The Kompressor engine means ****, its the style engine, IE: how Audi uses Quattro, or Cadillac Northstar....

 

WTH do you think Kompressor means? Let me translate for you. compressor aka supercharger. YES, all Mercs that say Kompressor ARE supercharged. The question is, did he race a C230 or an SLK 230. I think C230 which I think is a 4 banger because the V6 SLK230 should have kicked his ***...... I think.

 

C230 Kompressor= 15.7 1/4 mile
SLK230= 15.2 (slower than I thought)

well i am hopefully going to the track this weekend or next and i will know what the a4 runs with just me in it

Ok, from someone who used to own MB's exclusively.....I had a 2004 C230 Sport Sedan....that is a 1.8L supercharged engine......that was the case until 2005. this engine put out 189hp. The slk230 had the same engine. in those years, the V6 engine was in the C320 or SLK320. There was also a V6 Kompressor available, but that was only for the C32 AMG and the SLK32 AMG.....this engine was a beast putting out 349hp, and will take an M3 about 50% of the time. In 2006, the C230 switched over to a V6, but it was no longer a supercharged engine....I believe it was a 2.5L V6 which put out 201hp, but the torque was quite a bit less in the new engine and the overall performance was slower than the 1.8L Komp.

Now when it comes to stock vehicles.....the C230 Komp. will beat the stock A4 all day long.....sorry but its the truth. On the other hand I had my MB chipped from Upsolute, and I have my A4 chipped with APR Stage 1+.......and there is no comparison the A4 wins easily. If you were chipped then you would beat him easily.

Good info MyUltraSport. I stand corrected on the SLK230 Komp not being a V6. Makes sense as to why it's only a 15.2 second car. But Merc never badges a car Kompressor unless it is one, correct?

 

i would say right and but there are d-bag owners that like to put amg on cars that never were

and i called it a v6 cause my buddy said he thought it was one

so w/ a good launch i should of smoked him then? and if they are running about 15.7 in a 1/4 mile then witha good launch i should be 15.3-15.5? wow my s-10 did that stock....... really need to hit the track and see what i can do
