Off the top of my head I have done a trannyreplacement on an Audi 80, and engine replacement on a Saab 900, a timing belt on a TT, full race suspension on an AW11, suspension on a 280Z, I've owned a Suzuki Samauri, MR2, Fait Spider, Bertone X1/9 and drivin and worked more than I can count. Is that enough to change my hairdo from a mullet to something else? Do I get some super cool, superior "import" cred now? [sm=yeahsmile.gif]

Another debate between muscle car guys and import guys it will never end. I have plenty of names to call you guys to but I dont need to prove myself to two importguys on a forum. I have been looking for a Nogaro S4 for about 6 months now and have finally found one.Should be picking it up this weekend. Reasoning for me joining this site was to educate myself about Audis + I have been checking the FS section every day to see if one pops up.

Well, you're ignorant if you think that. Spend some time actauly working on cars from all over the world as I have instead of playing moderator on DSM forums telling people not to be mad at their cars for breaking down all the time and you might see the truth. That is that how cars are constructed and how things are actually accomplished has far, far more to do with the era of the car that the country of origin. If fact, it's quite remarkable how incredibly similar they are when you get down to the nuts and bolts of things. I am not a "muscle car" guy. My Z06 isn't even a muscle car at all. I didn't buy it because it's American. I bought it because it's the fastest stock, comfortable car on the race track that my $20,000 could possibly buy. Yes, superior in that way that ANYTHING from Europe or Japan. Period. I am a big fan of different cars from around the world and I've owned cars from around the world. But there is a cancer in the automotive world. It's people who have decided that anything from Japan is superior in some magical way and anything from America is garbage in some magical way. They can't explain why. They have to ignore and deny the facts that prove otherwise. And they will always fire back by calling anyone with an American car a redneck. But they believe it blindly and whole heartedly. I generally call these people JDM **** because they think that JDM models are magically the greatest cars ever and infinitely superior to anything else on the planet. Then when proven through track times that they are pretty slow, they will tell you tracks down matter, the only thing that matters is the "touge." There have been great and crappy cars sold here from every country. And despite the idiotic stereotypes that you believe, there are many of us who judge cars based on the virtues of the car without some massive bias based on country of origin. That is how I came to own a Z06. Because it is the best car in the world for my criteria. Often times people think I am a "muscle car" guy because I fight the cancer. And that usually entails defending American cars agianst the relentless and ignorant attacks of JDM ****. And results in me pointing out the shortcomming of their favorite cars, which is blasphamy to JDM **** who blindly worship anything from Japan as superior.

I, for your information, cannot stand riced out Hondas, Nissans, and it makes me sick to see a ragged out DSM with some young kid driving it, using the cheapest parts to try and go fast. So dont sit there and try to insult my intelligence and act like you know me. I like quite a bit of American cars, but you have stereotyped far more than me, calling us "all JDM ****" when I have not technically owned any car that has a JDM variant (DSM 1g never had a JDM variant, the cyclone 4g63 came from a GVR4, not any better than us) and tell me I worship that ****. Period.
I have assited in bulding a 70 Chevelle, a charger, a mustang, and many other american cars.
I have also assited in an A4, a 944t, a corrado, a 5000, a 90, a 80.... I have done much work with cars all around the world comming to this land.
Do not put me in any bracket, I simply brought up the mullet thing because of your flaming of imports far before I brought that up, period. I do not want to fight with you anymore, neither of us are getting anywhere, and we both look like asses. I PMed the OP, and we came to an understanding. I was misunderstood in his story, and appologized.

Okay, please show where I flamed imports. I did no such thing. You can do all the back pedaling you like, but the fact of the matter is you should apologize for your idiotic first post that started this right here where everyone can read it. BTW, where did I say anything about ricers? Of course you want them to all be modded to hell professional "tuners."
