Then trap speed vs E.T. (by the way, trap speed is horsepower, E.T. is horsepower/torque/weight/tire/suspension set-up/chassis stability/and more, which would you say is more indicative of the overall capability of a certain car?).

S4 do run low 14s, because of their great grip, but look at their trap trap speeds (usually not even 100). Where as most 540i's trap over 100, the 540i is mildly modded to. Unless you driven both or are familiar with both cars (which you are not) I think you should sit down. They don't even make a 06 540, its called a 545. haha ya lets bring back this thread...first of all as an S4 owner (b5) I recently waxed a 540...several times actually, and the guy actually acknowledge the fact that he got his panties rocked...a good S4 drive can easily get 13's stock...i believe the fastest stock s4 is around 13.6.

Dont get me wrong, I love my TT.
However, honestly for the most part, BMW's are built better than audi's.... car for car.
I've owned 2, 3 series, 1 540i, and a 740i.
All great cars, I just wanted something new.... my audi is a blast to drive, but the quality in a BMW outshines my audi hands down....
So dont rag on them.... and a M3 will eat an a4 for breakfast...
only thing in the " small audi's " stock that will keep up with one is an S4 or a TT RS, and im not even 100% sure about the RS....(Dont know them very well)
but I will agree... 90% of bmw owners are huge ******.... the older ones (ones who actully can afford new ones...tend to be better, however the kids who buy them used/have mom and dad buy them are complete idiots for the most part)
both are good cars...

All top consumer cars... in my opinon, however I do not think an audi other than the fully loaded A6/A8/A8L even complete with top mid to top end bmw's and mercedes.
Just my view from owning all three.
