Took my S4 to the track
I made two passes my first pass with the car hot and hot/humid weather i turned a 14.6@95.9mph 1.9 60' my 2nd pass was like 14.9@95mph with 2.1 60'
I just got the car a few months ago and wanted to see what it did. next month i am doing timing belt, plugs, etc etc and maybe GIAC chip It has some hesitation and turbo lag between shifts.. not sure if there is a leak or something.

Wow, legal and safe racing in this section? Whata nice suprise. Pretty good 60' for first time out. Car is probably capable of better, but the harder you launch, the sooner you will "lunch" something.
I mostly went to see what the MPH was to get a baseline for what kind of power im making. To me the car felt much quicker then it was.. i was thinking maybe its chipped. guess not :-) Yeah before chipping illl make sure all the issues are addressed. im saving for the timing belt kit and labor at the moment though. Ill post again in a few months with my "chipped" time. I got them on video, i might post them up here in a few days. Raced my friends BMW 330XI 5 speed. I thought it was going to be a really close race, but he got destroyed. I think he trapped at only 87mph.
Yeah, i know what you mean. Well its just my audi hung with some fast cars really well.. then only does 14.6. Like i raced my friends tuned EVO IX from a roll. 30-90 i pulled 1/2 car on him then by 85 he was 1 car ahead of me and pulling pretty hard... but it was neck and neck for awhile. (He ran a 12.9@109mph) Then I was driving my audi, and my friend was driving my LS1 T/A which has Intake, full exhaust, 232 .595 lift FMS cam, valvetrain, efi live tune, 3200stall with full lockup, etc and my audi hung right with it pretty good. . im thinking.. is my s4 chipped? but my firebird on a poor run is mid 12's...
Honestly I think low 12's is all its got in it. Im on stock rear end dont want to break that. I think 12.1-12.5@114 is the best it should do with my setup. I ran a 12.8@110 spinning all through first hitting rev limiter between shifts and it wouldnt go into overdrive.. so i just held it at redline in 3rd for a few seconds. I know manual guys have been dynoing over 400whp with my setup, but my car needs to be retuned for the new torque converter (its not currently locking under WOT) and my shift points need to be adjusted. Still my S4 hung with these 12 second cars. Perhaps its the broad S4 powerband that allows it to hang with them for a bit before they get into their sweet spot. Like against the Evo maybe he had turbo lag. and against my firebird maybe it was bad gear to start in...iunno. But... i cant wait to mod my S4 when the TA sells! :-)
I could be wrong, but I've had a LOT of friends w/ LS1 cars, and w/ your mods, I wouldn't doubt 11's are out of the question. Maybe not on street tires, but at least on DR's. Cam's and stalls go a LOOOOONNNGG way on LS1 cars. Either way, sounds like you're S4's a little faster than it should be, and that's NEVER a bad thing. Enjoy it.
