Default 2001 a4 2.8 30v suspension change, need help

Hello, I have a a4 2001 I would like to drop the suspension 1.25 inchs I do not have stock wheels or rims, my wheels are 7.5 inchs wide instead of 7. The
Rims are 1 inch larger. Does anyone have sugestions on what would work or does anyone have experience doing this?

There's a lot of ways to do this and there's a tonne of people who have done this. There's a million suspension threads in the A4 B5 section, have a look!

So you've got 17" rims or 16" rims? As long as the overall diameter is maintained, it isn't relevant for lowering a vehicle.

Do you want a spring and shock combo or coilovers?

How much to you want to spend?

Are you on sport or non-sport suspension now?

VMaxx is probably your best bet. It will give you the look, but it wont ride as nice as a more expensive setup. Lots of successful stories on the forum with VMaxx.

Check with Tim at Formula Engineering. I know they stock coilovers for A4's. Great prices too.

Can't go wrong with a Bilstein/H&R combo. Rides nicely and looks great IMO. Then again you won't have the adjustability but it'll be cheaper than coilovers.
