Cool Lowering The A4

Does anyone know where to find Lowering springs that will drop my car at least 2 inches or more all the way around??? I have a 96 A4 2.8L FWD...I've found a set up but its for the 4cyl and they said they have not tested it on the 6cyl and audi says it wont work because of the weight difference in the motors. If anyone knows how I can accomplish this without doing a coilover setup i'd appreciate the info.

nuespeed is probably one of the more aggresive drops. if u want to lower the car 2 inches but are goign to use a awd spring on a fwd car your wont get the drop you want. The difference in weight and spring rates will not allow the spring to compress all the way due to the 1.8 being lighter in the front the the v6.

Yea I saw the Nuespeed set up...Its only a 1.5 drop for the 2.8L V6...Tein has a 2.4 inch drop for the front and a 1.9 inch drop for the back, but when I called them they said they never tested for the V6...Do you know of any sites with springs for a lower drop???

lower drop. If u want to go anylower i would suggest just getting coilovers. Once u lower the car that much you will blow your stock struts in no time and spend an other 4 for struts. Mightesswell get a coilover kit and call it a day.

Hey man thanks for the advice...Im going with a coilover setup most likely from Tein or Eibach...They both have nice set ups for around $800...$500 more then the springs but it'll be worth it!!! Do u think I'll get any Rub with 18's lowering the car 2 inches or more??? 40 or 35 series tire

hmm i want to say no but it depends. Whats the offset of the wheel. I actually had to roll my front fenders and pull the top screw out to not rub. But my offset is something like 29 upfront and 27 in rear. ITs better just to get the whole kit as eventually lowering the car that much u will have to replace the struts and thats going to run an other 500 so ur already pretty much spending what u would on coils. Plus u have adjustabilty with coils.

Coilover for under 1k, Vmaxx, Tein, ST & Eibach Coilovers will not get you a nice ride. Look into getting some BC (BR Model) coilovers, they are Ride Height Adjustable (not like the ones that are listed above being Spring Rate Adjustable). When aggressively lowering a car, you DO NOT want to lower it by spring rate (it will make your ride feel less comfortable). The best option is to look for coilovers that offer ride height adjustable.
I recently installed ST coilovers for my Audi TT Quattro, I paid 950 shipped for them. I had them installed on my car at the lowest possible height. The ride was not not really bad, but at times was uncomfortable. So after having them on the car for under 5k miles, I decided to remove them and purchase a pair of BC coiloovers (haven't installed them yet).
The reason why I chose BC over alll the other brands of coilovers was due to pricing, ride height adjustment and dampner adjustable. I've had BC's installed on 2 cars that are aggressively low. And I must say that compared to ST's that I had before. They out performed the ST's, for the same price of 950 shipped.
